2025 Park Street Storm Project Phase III
Project Information
This is Phase III of a project that has consisted of multiple phases. Phase III will take place on Park Street (from Meadow Drive through the Oriole Lane intersection.)
Phase III will consist of installing approximately 2,000 linear feet of storm sewer ranging in size from 8-inch to 24-inch, storm manholes, catch basins, inlets, miscellaneous water and sanitary sewer service removal and replacements, pavement patching, grind and overlay, concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement, and restoration.
The new storm sewer will be installed in the roadway, so there will be a road closure to through traffic on Park Street (from Meadow to Oriole Lane) during construction. The project has a substantial completion date of 9/1/2025.

Construction Limits
- Park Street (from Meadow Drive through the Oriole Lane intersection)
Anticipated Hours of Work:
7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Mon–Fri; 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Sat. (If necessary)
Work the week of September 15th.
September 18th and 19th - Beginning the morning of Thursday, September 18, 2025, McGill Construction will be installing the asphalt patching of the storm sewer crossings across Park Street, and the intersection of Park and Oriole. On Friday, September 19th the contractor will be installing the mainline sewer patch on the north side of Park Street. This will be a two day moving operation and access to roadways may be limited in the immediate areas where paving is taking place. Shortly after the asphalt is paved and rolled smooth by the compaction equipment, you will be able to drive on the new pavement. Please be alert for construction equipment.
This project has a final completion date of October 3rd.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN I WILL BE AFFECTED BY CONSTRUCTION?
This project is scheduled to begin early July , 2025. Residents will receive construction notifications throughout different phases of the project, and the city construction website will be updated weekly.
WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO MY DRIVEWAY?
Only driveways within the construction limits will have driveway access limited as the contractor crosses in front of your home with the installation. The contractor or City representative will go door to door to notify residents before starting work in front of your property. All residents will have access to their driveways by the end of the work day. If there is any instance where residents will not have access to their driveway overnight, street parking passes will be issued by Public Works for that residence.
WHAT IF I HAVE SPECIAL ACCESS REQUIREMENTS?
Residents should contact the City of Rolling Meadows Public Works Department at (847) 963-0500. The City will do its best to accommodate residents with specific special needs so long as we are informed in advance and can coordinate with the Contractor.
WILL MY GARBAGE BE PICKED UP?
Yes, your scheduled weekly pickup for garbage and recycling will be maintained. Please have containers ready for pickup prior to 6:00am.
WILL I RECEIVE MAIL DURING THE COURSE OF CONSTRUCTION?
Yes, mail delivery will not be affected during construction.
HOW LONG WILL THIS PROCESS TAKE TO COMPLETE?
The project is expected to start early July, and be substantially complete by early September.
