Community health is a primary service of local government. In Rolling Meadows, many of these goals are within the purview Community Development, however, Public Works, Human Services, as well as the Fire and Police departments often work collaboratively to improve community health outcomes across the City. The goal of this program is to promote public safety and reduce public health hazards that may lead to illness or injury within the community.
Community Health includes:
- Air quality
- Communicable disease
- Hair and body salons
- Health clubs
- Hotels/motels
- Living conditions
- Pest control
- Pet facilities
- Proper garbage disposal
- Water pollution
