Food Service Establishments
Inspections of food service establishments occur routinely throughout the year. Establishments consist of restaurants, retail food stores and institutional settings such as schools, nursing homes and daycare centers. Through such inspections sanitary defects and poor food handling techniques are detected and corrected to prevent the formation or spread of a food borne illness.
The Health Officer will use the Food Service Inspection Report Form (PDF) to list any general violations found within food service facilities. The Health Officer is also responsible for reviewing the plans of all new food service establishments for compliance with sanitation requirements.
