Rental Dwelling Program (Rental Licenses)

Rental Dwelling Program

The City of Rolling Meadows requires all single-family homes (attached and detached), condominiums, and apartments to be licensed and inspected by the Community Development Department, as well as all rental dwelling owners or agents to have attended a Crimefree Multifamily Housing Seminar. These regulations are intended to encourage high quality of housing standards for residents, as well as to protect both tenants and owners of rentals.

Rental inspections are conducted for all rental properties every three years. The City will send a reminder notice to each party to both the owner and tenant. Once this notice is received, you are required to schedule an inspection within 30 days.
