Weber/Waverly Park Water Main Project Phase II

Replacement of approximately 7,800 feet of existing 6-inch and 8-inch cast iron water main with 8-inch and 10-inch ductile iron water main along sections of Weber Drive and areas within the Waverly Park subdivision. Work will also include water service replacements, fire hydrant replacements, pavement patching, and parkway restoration.
Phase I on Cedar Street from Linden to Weber, Linden from Central Road to Oak Lane, Weber Drive from Central Road to Oak Lane, and Carr Street from Oak Lane to Birch Lane were completed in 2019.
Phase II on Linden Lane from Oak Street to Birch Lane, Willow Lane from Linden Lane to Carr Street, and Birch Lane from Linden Lane to Carr Street will be constructed in Spring of 2020.
Weber Road from Central Road to Oak Lane and from Birch Lane to 150 feet south of Birch Lane. Within the Waverly Park subdivision along Linden Lane, Cedar Street, Oak Lane between Carr Street and Weber Drive, Willow Lane, Birch Lane, and Carr Street.
Refuse Collection Impacts: Please place refuse and recycle bins at their normal location for collection prior to 6:30 AM on your regularly scheduled day of the week. This will allow for collection prior to the hours of construction.
Weekly Project Updates
Update for Week of 3/16/2020
Starting on Monday, March 16th, the Contractor will begin grinding the pavement on Willow Lane. This work will occur on the south side of Willow between Carr and Linden. The Contractor will also begin water main installation on Willow, just west of Carr. Proposed water main is expected to be installed along all of Willow Lane this week.
On Tuesday, March 17th, the Contractor expects to disconnect a valve on Willow Lane, which will require a shutdown. Residents affected by the shutdown will receive a notice the day prior to this work occurring.
Update for Week of 3/9/2020
Starting on Friday, March 13th, J. Congdon Water and Sewer Service will begin mobilization for Phase II of the project. Phase II will include the installation of water main and services on Willow, Birch, and Linden south of Oak.
The contractor will be delivering equipment and materials to the project site, which will be stored in the street and in the parkway between the curb and the sidewalk where sections of water main are scheduled to be installed.
Next week, the Contractor will begin installing water main on Willow Lane.
School Districts 15 and 214 have been made aware of the scheduled work and will modify bus routes accordingly to avoid the construction area.
