Alternative Reporting System
The Alternative Reporting System is available for citizen use on a voluntary basis in select incidents under certain conditions. There are currently fifty-two types of incidents in the system. Callers who qualify for the system will be referred to one of three options instead of an immediate officer response:

The desk officer reviews all reports received through the Alternative Reporting System. When additional follow-up is required, the incident is referred to the Patrol or Investigations Division. Under no circumstances will a caller be denied a police officer response to their location if requested. |
