Community Service Officer

A Community Service Officer is a non-sworn civilian employee who is highly skilled in several area's that typical police officers are not familiar with. Besides being the "dog catcher", our Community Service Officers provide many other services. You may see our Service Officers writing parking tickets, completing private property accident reports, directing traffic at accident scenes,  taking reports of minor thefts of bicycles, license plates, drivers licenses, etc.

Community Service Officers work varying shifts, interact tactfully and professionally with the public, apply common sense, use discretion when dealing with sensitive information, have a valid drivers license and be a high school graduate.
