What is an eBill?
The City of Rolling Meadows’ electronic billing option or e-Bill is the delivery of an e-mail notification that your monthly bill is ready for viewing in the Utility Bill Information and Payment System. This e-mail message will feature any newsworthy information as well as a link, that when clicked, takes you directly to the Utility Bill Information and Payment System section of the Village’s website. From here, you will have secure electronic access to your current billing statement to view online or print a copy if you wish.
How do I participate?
If you have already used the on-line Utility Information and Payment System, then simply log-in and click on the “edit account” link in the upper right hand corner of your screen and check the area under the “sign up for eBill” section to enroll.
If you are not familiar with the Utility Information and Payment System, the first step is to enroll. Click here to view instructions for logging on to www.myutilityaccount.com. You will need your utility account number. Enter the twelve digit account number in the Account Number field (include leading zeros). Re-enter the account number in the Password field. Please change your password to secure future logins. Account history will be available 24 hours after initial access.
How will I know if I have successfully completed the eBill enrollment process?
After you have enrolled, the system will send a confirmation to the e-mail address listed on your account profile.
Will I still receive a bill through the mail?
Once you have received the eBill confirmation e-mail all future regular bills will be electronic. Please note that if a disconnection notice is generated it will still be mailed to the billing address.
Can I print a copy of a bill once I am enrolled in eBill?
Once enrolled, the system will send you an email reminder when your bill is ready to be viewed online. You will have secure electronic access to your monthly statement that can either be printed or viewed online at your convenience.
What if my e-mail address changes?
Visit the Utility Management System, click on the “edit account” link in the upper right hand corner of your screen to update your e-mail address.
How are payments made?
Paying your bill is easy! Simply logon to the Utility Bill Management System and click the “Pay Now” button located on the summary screen that appears after logon. Your current balance will default in the amount field within the secure credit card payment screens. After entering your payment/credit card information click the submit button. Your payment will post to your account after 48 hours. All pending payments will appear in the Payment Pending section of your account summary screen. Past due accounts pending shut-off should not be paid on-line.
How can I discontinue eBill?
You can cancel eBill by simply visiting the Utility Bill Management System and clicking on the “edit account” link in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
