2008 CHIPPER SCHEDULE

The following is the schedule for brush chipper for 2008. Refer to the City calendar for chipper section map.

Branches must be less than 6 inches in diameter and be placed with the cut ends towards the street.

During collection week, trucks will only make 1 pass down the streets. Any brush that is not placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. of the Monday of collection week, will not be collected by the chipper.

If you miss the chipper pick up, you may cut branches to 4' in length, bundle and tied with string, and place at the curbline with yardwaste on your regular refuse collection day or call Public Works at 847-963-0500 for a special pick up at an additional fee.

Early refuse set out ended March 31.

Refuse can not be set out earlier than 6:00 p.m. the night before collection day.

Be a good neighbor and bring in your recycling cart by sunset.

Additional refuse bags are available at the Public Works Combined Service Facility building. Refuse bags only, can be purchased at City Hall on the 1st floor.

PUBLIC WORKS CITIZENS ACADEMY

The Public Works Citizens Academy is currently being presented.

The academy includes interactive hands on training activities, tours of City facilities, and presentations by experienced Public Works team members.

If you are interested in participating in future academies, please use the Citizens Report Form to let us know and we will put you on the list for participation. For additional information, contact the Public Works office at 847-963-0500.
