Pay Utility Bill

 Dear New Resident:

Welcome to the City of Rolling Meadows !

For your convenience the City has assembled some information to help you get acquainted with our utility billing system, as well as a few other helpful tips.  As our newest resident, please remember to call the Utility Billing Department to set up your new account if you have not already done so.

Rolling Meadows receives water from Lake Michigan .  Bills are mailed on the first of each month, and the payment is due to the City by the 20th of each month.   An estimated bill is sent every other month based on the preceding 12 months' billings. A water deposit is required of all new residents per Chapter 23, Sect. 23-6 of the City Ordinance; this is billed to a new resident on their first Utility Bill.  This deposit is held on the resident’s account and refundable when they move out of the City, or is transferable if you stay within the City.

Occasionally, a yellow tag will be left at your door asking you to fill in your inside water meter reading. You may either mail the reading to us or you may phone it in.  The yellow tag is left when the meter reader feels the reading does not fall within the scope of your normal consumption.  If you need help in reading or locating your meter, appointments may be made by calling the Utility Billing Dept., (847) 394-8500.  Also, for your convenience, tags or payments may be put in our white drop box, located on the east side of the City Hall parking lot at 3600 Kirchoff Road .  We also offer direct debit from your checking account for Utility Bill payments, application is enclosed.  Please return it to City of Rolling Meadows Finance Department 3600 Kirchoff Rd.   In addition to direct debit we accept credit card payments, in person or over the phone, for your convenience.  And you may pay your bill on-line by clicking on the Pay Utility Bill link above.

The City has its own garbage pick-up service.  Your utility bill includes a monthly fee to cover the cost of this service.  If you have any questions concerning garbage pick-up, obtaining city garbage bags, recycling, or summer chipper service, please call Public Works Department at (847) 963-0500. They are located at 3900 Berdnick.

A friendly reminder:  Please don't forget to purchase your vehicle stickers and dog licenses; you do need to bring proof of the dog’s rabies vaccination.  This must be done within 60 days after you move in, and can be done at City Hall, 3600 Kirchoff Road .  Applications for stickers and dog licenses are enclosed.  Should you have any questions concerning the above, feel free to call City Hall at (847) 394-8500, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  We are proud of the City of Rolling Meadows, and hope that you enjoy everything this great community has to offer.

Sincerely,

Utility Billing Department

City of Rolling Meadows
