City Utilities - Rates & Fees

New Rates and Fees - Effective on March 1, 2025 Billing


The City of Rolling Meadows bills approximately 6,800 Utility Billing accounts for Water, Sewer, Stormwater and Garbage/Recycling each month.  Taxes & Fees are adopted by the City Council and may be found in the City's Code of Ordinances.

Water Rates

Usage 5,001 to 15,000 gallons per month $12.85 per 1,000 gallons
Usage 15,001 to 100,000 gallons per month $14.83 per 1,000 gallons
Usage over 100,000 gallons per month Refer to Code of Ordinances
  • All water users shall pay for an access-to-water fee per month, based on meter size.
  • Rates for water users outside the City are higher.  See the City's Code of Ordinances for these rates.

Sewer Rates

  • All sewer users shall pay  an access-to-sewer fee per month, based on meter size

Stormwater & Garbage/Recycling Fees

  • The monthly Stormwater Fee is $6.85 per unit /per month. The  base billing unit for the Stormwater Management Fee is defined as the "equivalent residential unit".
